Learn how to get the most from your new inventory tracker

Settings

The best way to get started is by configuring the Settings sheet.
Here are the columns you can populate:

  • Project Name: You can give your Inventory Tracker a unique name.
  • Inventory Tables: Specify up to 6 category names in the colored cells.
  • Team: If you plan on assigning items to individuals in your organization, list all their names here.
  • Status: Feel free to modify the status text or use the defaults.
  • Location: If you'd like to log each item's location, enter all possible locations in the list here.


Inventory

The Inventory sheet is where you'll log and track all your individual items.

  • Item: Enter the name of the item.
  • Status: Select a status from the drop down list.
  • Location: Select a location from the drop down list.
  • Date: Enter the date of your choice. It can represent anything you'd like.
  • Assigned to: Select a name from the drop down list.
  • Value: Enter a value for the item.
  • Tag: Enter a unique identifier for the item.
  • Notes: You may enter anything in this field.

🟢 Tip: To add more rows, right click anywhere in the last table row and select Insert -> Table Row Below.



Overview

The overview sheet provides a general summary for all 6 item categories. Watch the elements on this sheet update in real time as you make changes to the Inventory sheet.
